GARDNER - Eight million Americans have eating disorders, and more than 90 percent of those are women.
Students of Professor Sheila M. Murphy's abnormal psychology class organized an eating disorder awareness day at Mount Wachusett Community College last week.
"Think of your body as a vehicle of your dreams, respect it and fuel it. Become aware of your body as an instrument, not an ornament. Eat when you're hungry. Rest when you're tired," said Ms. Murphy to students gathered in the campus' main lobby.
