WORCESTER - Grace C. Ross made it official yesterday, announcing that she is an at-large candidate for the City Council.
The 46-year-old candidate, who won 43,000 votes statewide last fall as the Green-Rainbow Party nominee for governor, said she may also run for mayor if she decides she has enough support for the largely ceremonial post by the Sept. 18 deadline for declaring mayoral intentions.
Ms. Ross said she plans to tap into voters' desire for change as the city grapples with serious fiscal problems, which she said should be addressed by more state aid and encouraging innovative local revenue sources, not by ...
