You may have a favorite breed already, and that will make your choice easy. If you are not sure what breed you'd like, take a look at many or study up on several that you're interested in before you choose, looking at the literature put out by breed associations or checking their websites. There are many breeds to choose from today; here's a sampling to get you started.
