Apr. 20--MEADVILLE -- A new Pizza Hut restaurant under construction in the Park Avenue Plaza is expected to open in early June.
The restaurant will replace an aging building just steps away across the plaza parking lot. Pizza Hut has been a cornerstone restaurant in the Vernon Township plaza for 30 years.
The new building will be similar to the old in size and customer capacity, Pizza Hut area manager Steve Chisholm said.
"We're updating rather than than expanding," he said. "The interior and exterior will have a different, more modern feel."
