Apr. 20--It has been 20 years and it's only getting better. Maggie Holmes, known as St. Mary's Spring Fling Queen this time of year, has been a part of the school's annual fundraiser since its early years.
"I remember when we strung light sockets together and screwed in individual bulbs for decoration," Holmes laughed. This year, there will be 10 food booths ready to serve homemade fare during the event's April 25-29 run. "We do the Boston Butts on the grill and all the Cajun food is cooked on-site.
