Apr. 20--Union retirees from the Lucent Technologies factory in Oklahoma City are shouldering large increases in their health care premiums and want answers from international union officials and the recently merged company. More than 700 retirees attended informational meetings this week at a union hall in Oklahoma City. Among them was Dennis Demoe, whose health care premiums have increased more than 100 percent in the last year. Demoe and his wife recently adopted two children, but now he's wondering how to make ends meet with higher premiums.
