Hungary's main BUX index up 1.7% to new record high in bullish Friday trading on OTP Bank rally
BUDAPEST. APRIL 20. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - The Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) rallied strongly on Friday, fueled by heavy gains from OTP Bank and helped by bullish international sentiment, to crown several weeks of growth.
The main BUX index was up 1.65% to a new record closing high of 25,828 points by the end of the Friday session, climbing gradually throughout the day and hitting a new all-time high of 25,935 points during the day.
Turnover on the BSE was also massive, coming in at record levels of HUF 66 bln, with OTP alone accounting for HUF 38 ...
