Apr. 21--A new law intended to keep political donors from putting the fix in for government contracts needs a little fixing itself, a state Senate leader said yesterday. Sen. Jeff Jacobson, R-Vandalia, said lawmakers inadvertently left out some important wording when they passed Ohio's new campaign-finance reform bill in the wee hours of Dec. 20.
So the Senate's president pro tem intends to see if he can piggyback corrective wording onto another bill already wheeling through the General Assembly. "Well, good," Franklin County Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy said. "They need to fix it promptly so counties can do business."
