Apr. 22--The rehearsal was anything but smooth.
The Lady Horsemen of St. Michael's, though, know how to play like veterans. Not to mention like district champions. Their experience paid off on Saturday, as the Lady Horsemen tennis team won the preDistrict 2A-AAA girls tourney at Capital High over Las Vegas Robertson. The victory guarantees St. Michael's will be seeded No. 1 next weekend at the District 2A-AAA tournament that will be held in Las Vegas, N.M.
The win wasn't pulled off without some heroics.
"It's incredible," said Vladmir King, St. Michael's head girls tennis coach. "It can be done."
