Rode Reports 2008 in Grand Lake, Colo., gave us the chance to take runs on Polaris' new 600RR. The sled is an exact replica of the 440 IQ, except for its carbureted, 120 HP. 600cc engine and a few minor tweaks to make it trailable.
We made a bee-line for the big bumps and learned this sled handles 2- to 3-loor moguls at wide-open throttle without trouble. Its IQ rear and swaybar-free front end with Walker Evans needle shocks bombed right over the bumps. Handling was good, but this sled turns best when the driver stands. The ...
