The Jackson Hole World Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb has a lot of history over its 32 years. Snow conditions and changing weather alter the degree of difficuhy--as if a 1,571-foot vertical rise of between 30 and 40 degrees isn't enough on Snow King's Exhibition Hill. Oh, and there are "big f'n rocks," as some say, to make the ascent a bit more interesting.
Every year at Jackson there is a corps of volunteers--the hill help--whose job is to be there if racers can't overcome the physical forces Mother Nature throws their way.
