Los Angeles-based Office Live LLC, a professional services outfit that maintains free consumer-oriented online Q & A forums such as realtorsofficelive.com and lawofficelive.com as a lure, has sued Microsoft and 10 Microsoft John Does for trademark infringement.
The suit was actually filed in federal court in California on December 29 but the thing only surfaced Monday after negotiations failed.
Office Live claims to have owned the Office Live mark since December 31, 2002 and says it complained to Microsoft before filing suit about its use of the terms Office Live, Office Live Basics, Office Live Collaboration, Office Live Essentials and Office Live ...
