MySpace, now calling itself "the world's leading lifestyle portal" instead of a social network, has a new community called MySpace Trailer Park that will show movie trailers. Its first partner is Lionsgate and its trailer for "Good Luck Chuck" that's due in theaters in the States on August 24.
"The demand on MySpace for premium video content is off the charts and we expect Trailer Park to speak to users who want to discover and virally share these videos," said MySpace CEO Chris DeWolfe.
Movie trailers will premiere on Trailer Park three to six months prior to a film's theatrical release and a few months prior to the movie's MySpace profile launch.
