A high level meeting is being planned between industry leaders and members of the European Commission as part of the ongoing consultations on an EU Strategic Energy Technology Plan. In recent workshop events, officials from DG Tren have stated the EU executive's intention to hold a summit' between heads of major businesses in different energy technology sectors, as well as Commissioners Janez Potocnik and Andris Piebalgs.
