Apr. 22--At least twice a week, Walter Roberts III pressure-washes the bright-green plastic containers used by the customers of Augusta Disposal and Recycling.
His motto is to get them "clean enough for the White House."
"Today, I'm going to do 25," he said, pointing to a lineup of filthy cans.
Mr. Roberts uses hot water mixed with special chemicals to get the cans as clean as possible.
"People don't pay attention to what they put in there sometimes," he said. He often finds loose garbage in the cans that has not been bagged.
