Born and raised in Canada, the artist known as Paul P. has been living in Paris since Halloween. His apartment, ensconced in a 17th-century convent, suits the 30-year-old, whose wiry frame and intriguing features could blend into any period. This month Nonchaloir (Aschenbach/ Powerhouse), a book of P.'s published work, will coincide with the Venice-inspired "Place Names, the Place," an exhibition at New York City's Daniel Reich Gallery (through May 26). It was "the total decay of Venice" that appealed to him--"I love that it was built on a swamp," he confesses.
