Apr. 25--It doesn't get the attention usually spent on what's left of homes and businesses, but Saturday's tornado-filled storms hit farmers just as hard.
They damaged barns, homes and utility lines but especially hard hit are center pivot irrigation systems worth more than $4.9 million in Moore County alone.
"Some of them look like they just blew over," said Marcel Fischbacher, Texas Cooperative Extension ag agent for Moore County. "Some of them are twisted real bad."
Insurance adjusters and irrigation equipment representatives and others were still assessing the damage Tuesday.
