Apr. 25--In years past, often the best place to find boiled peanuts, hot-pepper jelly or pickled okra was at grandma's house or a rural roadside stand.
These days, such Southern delicacies increasingly are cropping up on the shelves of large supermarket chains and on Web sites, thanks to a growing demand for specialty foods.
Many of those culinary delights originate in the Charleston area, home to a veritable buffet of companies selling Southern treats.
