This book is the second in a three-volume series on the rhetorical history of the Southern Baptist conservative resurgence. The first volume, titled In the Name of the Father.. The Rhetoric of the Southern Baptist Convention, was published in 1999. This second volume explored the "rhetoric of exclusion" as it affected thirty-one individuals and attempted to put real faces on those hurt by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) takeover.
