Clean, green electricity is set to be generated from crops grown on old landfill sites in County Durham.
Land Remediation Services (LRS) of Sedgefield and Premier Waste Management (PWM) from Durham have joined forces to plant a fast-growing crop called coppice willow on former landfill sites at Lumley North and Coxhoe East.
