WHO:   Brigadier General Ezell Ware, Jr., born in Alabama in 1941, was 
   raised by his mother's parents in Magee, Mississippi. After 
   Ezell spent four years as a Marine, he enlisted in the U.S. 
   Army under the flight-training program in 1966, and served with 
   distinction as a pilot in Vietnam and Germany.  One year after 
   leaving the active army in 1972, Ezell joined the California
