Synopsis: The American public grew a bit more vexed about the global warming issue over the past year, building on a previous jump in expressed concern. As a result, public concern about the issue is tied for the highest level measured since 1989. Understanding of the issue is also high. However, there has been little recent change in perceptions about the causes of global warming or accuracy of media coverage.
