Apr. 27--A Chicago man and convicted sex offender today was ordered held without bail after he was accused of killing his girlfriend's two young sons and raping their female relative in a rage over their bickering about household chores.
Brian Gilbert, 36, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and aggravated criminal sexual assault in the attacks inside the children's home in the 7900 block of South Ellis Avenue.
