Apr. 27--Time Warner Cable, hoping to build on the success of its landline phone service in San Antonio, today added cellular service to its arsenal of telecommunications offerings.

The company's new Pivot wireless service -- which it operates in partnership with cellular firm Sprint Nextel -- lets customers check their Roadrunner e-mail accounts and watch TV programs via their wireless handsets. It also allows them to set up a single voicemail box for their cellular phones and their Time Warner home phone and to make free calls between both.
