Dear Editor, Jerry Blackett's comments on the road pricing debate are very welcome, and we would support calls for transport to move up the political agenda (Road Pricing is part of the answer for us, Post April 18).

Doing nothing to tackle congestion is not an option.

The public transport network within the region needs dramatic improvement - in particular we need to ensure that additional capacity is provided on the rail network ...
