Apr. 29--The diploma I have packed away somewhere says I have a political science degree from UC-Santa Barbara, but in a former life, I was a Spartan.
I attended San Jose State University for my freshman and sophomore years of college, from 1989 to 1991, before I finished my education by the beach. As with any breakup, I was happy to leave and don't regret the move, but time has allowed me to look back on my SJSU memories with fondness.
It wasn't you, SJSU, it was me. Well, mostly me.
