Apr. 30--This is not an infomercial, but it is an endorsement by Virginia Bell, 83, of La Crosse and Maraveen Mayer, 76, of West Salem to remain independent and maintain peace of mind on the home front.
You see, they live alone and both wear personal response service devices -- Virginia a neck pendant, Maraveen a wrist bracelet. It's a matter of preference.
