New Line Home Entertainment is looking to recapture its urban glory of the mid-'90s, with a beefed up slate of sequels to earlier theatrical hits Friday and Set It Off , among other projects.
The surge kicks off with the June 26 (prebook May 22) direct-to-DVD release Uncle P , starring father and son rappers Master P and Romeo. The film, priced at $19.99, follows a world famous rapper who decides to help his sister care for her children.
The film is separate from other pacts Master P has made, including a multi-film deal with First Look Home Entertainment last year.
