NEW YORK -- Global Kids, Inc, the lead partner for The High School for Global Citizenship (HSGC) has announced that author Ishmael Beah will be the special guest speaker on Monday May 7th @ 10 a.m. The talk will be a prelude to the Brooklyn-based school's Annual Conference on Youth and Violence, to be held on May 24th.
Mr. Beah recently wrote the compelling autobiography, A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, about his experience as a child soldier in Sierra Leone in the 1990's.
