May 1--Evergreen Homes LLC, an Akron company that sold new and rehabilitated homes and lots, and its affiliates -- one of which sold high-yield rate investment certificates -- have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy court protection.
Evergreen Homes, Evergreen Builders, LLC and Evergreen Investment Corp. filed the paperwork on Sunday with the Northern District of Ohio's U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Akron.
