May 1--What's the big deal about Brando?
Yes, he's a magnetic presence, not to mention a hot hunk, in such 1950s film classics as "A Streetcar Named Desire" (love that undershirt) and "The Wild One" (hot cycle leather). The studly young Marlon Brando makes black-and-white look blazing.
And yes, he's imposing in such 1970s middle-age roles as "The Godfather" and, speaking of studly, "Last Tango in Paris," in which he was the first superstar to engage in such a graphic cinematic study of sex. (Butter sales surely shot skyward.)
