May 1--ADELANTO -- There's a turbulent air at Adelanto Airport.
At last week's City Council meeting, land owners at the residential airport complained during public comments that they could not put homes on their property because of shifting and outrageous permit requirements.
Chuck Laird, president of the Adelanto Airport Property Owner's Association, said he wants to establish a special taxation zone, a Mello-Roos district, to pay for sidewalks, streets and water lines.
