We've been telling you about it for two years and, at last, it's reality--Yamaha's V-8 four-stroke outboard. While it isn't the first V-8 mill--Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC) introduced a 300 hp V-8 two-stroke in 1985--it is, by far, the largest (in terms of both weight and displacement) and most powerful outboard ever made. Although Yamaha no longer has official "model years," the new engine is expected to be available around the same time as other manufacturers' 2008 models.
