May 1--NORWALK -- Almost a year to the day that he was granted five certificates to bring his Eveready Transportation company into Norwalk, Vito Bochicchio Jr. will begin his push to bring more taxis into Norwalk.
Bochicchio has filed an application with the state's Department of Transportation to operate 11 additional taxicabs in Norwalk. A public hearing is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, at Norwalk City Hall.
Last spring, Bochicchio requested 35 certificates to operate taxis in Norwalk. After several public hearings during which Bochicchio had several prominent Norwalk citizens testify on his behalf, the DOT last ...
