May 1--At one time not all that long ago, the locally owned Papa Joe's Pizza chain had a bigger presence in central Ohio than the industry's big daddy, Papa John's.
That has changed dramatically in the past decade. Papa John's has become the region's No. 3 player while Papa Joe's hardly raises a blip in consumer surveys.
Now, however, a young entrepreneur has set out to revive the Columbus pizza brand.
Jason Norton purchased Papa Joe's two years ago, and his team has expanded the chain from three stores to 10.
