INDIAN RETAIL SECTOR TO TOUCH USD 430 BILLION BY 2010

May 01 (PTI Economic Service): Driven by burgeoning middle class population, changing lifestyles and favourable demographic patterns, countrys retail sector is expected to attain a projected turnover of USD 430 billion by 2010 with organized retail set to become a USD90 billion industry.
Indian retailing industry, which has seen phenomenal growth in the last five years, is expected to grow 25 per cent annually.
