WEBSTER - Selectmen have paid $88,000 in fiscal 2006 legal bills from Kopelman & Paige, the town counsel, after the law firm filed suit to get the money.
Selectmen Charles R. Cormier said yesterday the board voted April 23 to pay the bills after being notified of the suit.
"We paid it so we didn't have to go to trial in a suit for payment of what was duly owed," Mr. Cormier said ...
