Thank you for a great magazine. I have been riding motorcycles for 20 years without incident and would rate myself a pretty good biker. My good friend of eight years has just taken up riding and took the beginners riding course. He asked me a question that much to my embarrassment I could not explain properly except to answer that it just does work. The question is, "Why does countersteering work, and how does it work?" Oh, Great Gurus, would you please help me out and explain why it works?
