May 2--NORWALK -- The Board of Education denied a grievance from the city's two high school athletic directors last night, upholding Superintendent Salvatore Corda's decision.
The grievance, filed on behalf of Brien McMahon High School's Joe Madaffari and Norwalk High School's Wayne Mones by the Norwalk Federation of Teachers, stated each is doing the work of two athletic directors, which violates a letter of agreement drafted in 1995.
Madaffari and Mones were not present for last night's vote.
