May 2--The Monroe County Community School Corp. is moving forward with the development and implementation of a New Technology High School that will begin operating in the 2008-09 school year.
The school board voted 7-0 in favor of the school Tuesday after much discussion about where the power to decide on the location of the school should lie.
Four members -- vice president Teresa Grossi, assistant secretary Valerie Merriam, Jeannine Butler and Susan Daniels -- said they could only support the new-tech school if it began in an existing school. Those members voted in favor of the new tech model because they realize they ...
