HE'S the eccentric Dubliner who happily terrorised the city with his fake shoot-outs, and now the popular character Bang Bang could be immortalised in a new sculpture.
Liberties artist Joey Honan has created a 28in bronze statue of the famous Bang Bang, who was a regular feature of life in the city during the 1950s and 1960s.
And he is now petitioning for a commission to create a lifesize version which would be situated in a Dublin street.
He explained: "I'm 55 now but I remember Bang Bang from when I was around six-years-old. He used to go around on the back of buses, pretending to shoot people. Even bank managers used to feign being ...
