May 4--An 80-minute Sea Spa Escape at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa costs $225.
A 25-minute Hydrating Milk Aqua Bath is $58. Even a 15-minute Vichy Shower costs $35.
The cost to La Paloma for all that water? Nothing, apparently.
When the spa was built in 2000, no one installed a meter. The spa taps directly into a Tucson Water main.
Tucson Water spokesman Mitch Basefsky said it appears to be an illegal connection, and the water department is investigating how it occurred.
If the department finds it was done deliberately, the resort could have to pay fines. Even if it was accidental, the ...
