SEOUL, May 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korean and European Union negotiators will meet on Monday in their first round of formal negotiations on a proposed free trade agreement (FTA), aimed at reducing trade barriers between the two sides.The following are brief profiles of two key South Korean officials leading the negotiations.
Trade Minister Kim Hyun-chong
A former legal advisor for the World Trade Organization, Kim, 48, joined South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 1995 as a lawyer. Three years later, he became a key trade representative at the ministry.
