Genetics are a tricky thing. Those blood ties may be meant to bind for life, but all too often they're just itching to be severed.
This issue of W has two tales of family woe. First, London Bureau Chief Samantha Conti examines the saga of the well-to-do Birley clan. Mark founded the perennial hot spot Annabel's back in 1963, naming it for his glamorous wife, who not long thereafter left him for the womanizing billionaire Jimmy Goldsmith.
