Local Bemco Contracting Company has secured an extension to its credit facility for financing its utility project at the New Doha International Airport.
The local subsidiary of Jeddah-based Arabian Bemco has increased the size of its loan to $415 million. The original $275 million facilitywas agreed with a syndicate office banks in December 2005.
Lead arranger Calyon is joined on the syndicate by National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Doha Bank, Commercial Bank of Qatar and Mashreq Bank.
Bemco was awarded the 22-month contract to design and build all utility systems at the new airport in March 2006 (MEED 6:3:06). The contract was part of the first phase of ...
