At some point in time, Roger Clemens will become Elvis, playing to sold-out audiences throughout the land, audiences full of fans who remember the Rocket Man when he was the greatest pitcher in baseball and want to get one last look before he goes, but who aren't fooled by what they're seeing now.
The idea that a soon-to-be-45 pitcher can rescue a baseball season for any team seems preposterous, but no more preposterous than the idea that the Red Sox can sell box seats for $105 a game and have people begging for a chance to buy them.
