CHICAGO -- Fitch has assigned an 'F1+' rating to Washtenaw County, Michigan's $18 million general obligation (GO) limited tax notes, series 2007 taxable obligations. The treasurer has scheduled the note closing for May 17, 2007 via negotiation through Comerica Securities. The notes will mature on Feb. 7, 2008 and will not be subject to redemption prior to maturity. The notes are secured by the county's 2007 Revolving Fund as well as its limited tax, general obligation pledge.
The 'F1+' rating, which is of the highest short-term credit quality, reflects the strong coverage of expected note repayment resources and ample liquidity derived from the county's general ...
