China's corn prices start upside trend in physical market

Shanghai. May 9. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's corn prices has started an upside trend in the physical market on the back of limited supply and stronger demand after being flat for months due to pressure from abundant supplies, according to the Jilin Grain and Oil Information Center.

In China's main corn producing provinces of Jilin, Liaoning and Heilongjiang, prices of average quality corn have risen by RMB 20 ($2.60) a ton to RMB 40 ($5.20) a ton.
