May 8--A state fair is taking place a month early this year, and it's making a stop in Owensboro.
But it's Rodgers & Hammerstein, not the state of Kentucky, that is making this fair possible.
Theatre Workshop of Owensboro will present Rodgers & Hammerstein's "State Fair" in July at Owensboro High School.
"It's a good, family show," said David Roberson, who will direct the musical.
TWO is holding auditions for "State Fair" May 19 and 20.
Last summer, TWO presented another Rodgers & Hammerstein piece, "Cinderella," which was TWO's first summer musical in eight years.
