May 9--WATERLOO -- The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors is banking on an ounce of prevention to provide a pound of relief in their employee health insurance fund.
Board members voted Tuesday to begin funding a disease management effort and separate employee assistance program starting July 1 in hopes that healthier employees reduce overall medical costs to the county's self-insured health plan and improve workplace productivity.
